IGNOU Aizawl Regional Centre
IGNOU Aizawl Regional Center was established in December 2000. It also helps to arrange offline classes for IGNOU students. Here, Aspirants apply for re-admission through Aizawl Regional Center (Offline). This IGNOU Regional Centre started functioning with 9 Study Centres with its bifurcation from Regional Centre Shillong. Currently, the IGNOU RC Aizawl delivers its services through 8 Regular Study centers, 4 Programme Study centers, and 5 Special Study centers covering all the districts in Mizoram.
The Regional Centre, Aizawl, now offers 50 academic programs and hopes to offer more academic programs shortly. The extension activities are generally undertaken in association with NGOs, Government Institutions, and Voluntary Organisations. The Regional Centre, Aizawl, is now operating from a five-storied rented building situated at the heart of the city of Aizawl. A plot of land for the construction of RC’s permanent building is being applied for from the State Government of Mizoram.
