This programme is focused on increasing the awareness of students about social issues and work. Students study the IGNOU MSW syllabus, containing subjects such as Social Work History, Criminal Justice, Counselling, etc.

IGNOU MSW course teaches how to find answers to societal problems and organize social movements. IGNOU provides MSW assignments and study materials every semester for students. Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU MSW Course

IGNOU offers the Master of Social Work (MSW) course with a fee of INR 18,500/- per year. The total fee for the MSW course at IGNOU is INR 37,000/-. The applicants are also required to pay an application form fee of INR 300 and an INR 400 Development fee at the time of admission. All fees are collected online. If students want, they can contact the IGNOU regional centre for offline fee payment and the admission process.

Apart from the admission and academic amount, IGNOU also collects a fee of Rs. 400/- from students selected for the IGNOU MSW course. This fee is called the University Development Fee. This is necessary to complete the MSW admission process.

Admission process for the IGNOU MSW course is going to open for the July cycle. The process can be completed both online and offline. The online admission process is completed through the official website and offline via the regional centre.

IGNOU MSW Syllabus 2026

After the seat is confirmed, students will be fined of 15% of MSW course fee. After 60 days from the last date, no fee refund request is processed.
