IGNOU Registration Process 2026
The applicants can complete the registration process online using the official web portal @ignou.ac.in for all courses. The applicants can follow the points mentioned below to register at IGNOU.

Registration Fee: The fee paid for the registration will be Rs 300, which is non-refundable. It is informed to the students that this fee will be paid along with the first-semester program fee.

IGNOU Registration process for various PG courses like MA, M.Com, MLIS, MCA, MSW, MBA, etc is going to start from 10 May 2026. The applicants can register for PG courses online through the official samarth portal. The last date of IGNOU PG Registration 2026 will be 31 May 2026*. Students interested in pursuing PG courses from IGNOU must meet certain eligibility criteria specified by the university. IGNOU registration criteria for PG admission are given below:
- IGNOU MBA: The University provides an MBA program in 9 specialisations to applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream.
- IGNOU MLIS: The students who want to apply for MLIS admission at this University must have acquire BLIS/UG degree from any recognised University.
- MA: To be eligible for an MA, one must have earned a BA degree from a valued university.
- M.Sc: Aspirants with a B.Sc degree in the related field can register for multiple specializations under M.Sc.
- M.Com: For M.Com, a Bachelor’s degree in related subjects is required from a renowned university.
- MSW: A Graduation degree is required to apply for MSW (General) and MSW (Counselling).
- MCA: Those who have graduated are eligible to opt for MCA. Also, they must have studied Mathematics either at 10+2 or UG level.
IGNOU PhD Registration 2026
After registration, students have to appear for the entrance examination. IGNOU Ph.D. registration fee is Rs. 1,000*, which is non-refundable. The registration process for IGNOU Ph.D/M.Phil courses are conducted by the university once in a year and in the July session. The registrations are conducted by the university at its official website and students are required to first complete the login process.
