IGNOU Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For IGNOU UG admission students must have a 12th qualification from any recognized educational board. There is no minimum percentage requirement for admission.
IGNOU PG admission 2025 January session eligibility criteria is a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream. Student must produce the degree from a relevant university.
To pursue the IGNOU Diploma and Certificate level courses, students must have a 10+2 from a recognized board. Some courses at certificate level are available after 10th class only. IGNOU Admission 2025 Fees

Average PG course fees at IGNOU is in the range Rs.10,000 to Rs.31,000 per year. This amount is accepted through online IGNOU student login 2025.

UG courses fees at IGNOU range between Rs.Rs.9,000 to Rs.15,000 per year. Similarly for the 2025 January IGNOU session Certificate courses students pay between Rs.6,000 to Rs.18,000.

Apart from these academic fees, IGNOU application fee of Rs. 300/- is paid online. This is a one time payment and it is non refundable. Every semester students pay an IGNOU exam form fee of Rs. 200/- per theory subject. Practical exam form fee is Rs. 300/- to be paid before IGNOU term end examination.

How to Generate a IGNOU DEB ID?

Distance Education Bureau Identification is an online ID that help universities track the distance education credit and marks of students. It is now mandatory to register with the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) and make an ID. This ID is used during the IGNOU admission process 2025 to monitor the distance education history and records. To make this ID students can visit the official website of DEB @deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDEBId.

To make the DEB ID students must have an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID. Step by step process to make a DEB ID is:

Step 1: Visit the DEB website @deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDEBId.

Step 2: On the website a dialogue box is given for DEB ID generation.

Step 3: If the student already has an ABC ID, they can enter the ABC ID on that dialogue box and it will generate the DEB ID.

Step 5: After creating the ABC ID they can return to the DEB portal to register and create DEB ID.

Entrance Exam for IGNOU Admission

Indira Gandhi National Open University conducts the entrance examination for BSc Nursing, BEd, and PhD courses each year in the January first week. Registration for the IGNOU Entrance exam 2025 starts in January 2025.

IGNOU Multiple Entry and Exit

IGNOU also offers flexible admission options with multiple entry and exit opportunities. This is allowed across programs like BCom and BSc. According to the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a student can exit an IGNOU degree program before the completion of the full course.

Now students can exit with a small Diploma or Certificate level degree from their undergraduate degrees. But they do not lose their academic credits and can get a UG certificate or a Diploma.

IGNOU BEd Admission 2025

IGNOU BEd admission will start from January 2025. This course provide professional training in the theory and practical skill of primary education. For the new session, Indira Gandhi National Open University decided not to conduct any entrance tests for MBA admission. IGNOU has revised its admission criteria for the MBA (Banking and Finance) program.

IGNOU 2025 Fee Refund

It is also possible that a student may decide to not continue their IGNOU admission process. Foreseeing this IGNOU has an admission cancellation policy for the 2025 January process. This includes the process of fee refund and admission cancellation application. Admission can be cancelled online using the student portal. Students can use admission login to notify IGNOU if they decide to opt out of the admission process 2025. However, the amount of fee refunded will depend on the time of cancellation. This is governed by the fee refund policy of IGNOU.

How to Apply for IGNOU Fee Refund

Step 1: Enrolled students should open the registered email account. Fee refund request can only be made from same email account as used during IGNOU admission 2025.

Step 2: Send a mail to @canceladms@ignou.ac.in citing Enrollement number, Candidate’s Name, and Programme Name.

Step 3: Make sure the mail is sent before 60 days end from the IGNOU admission last date.

What is the Enrollment Number in IGNOU?

Students receive their enrollment numbers after paying the admission fee online through the Indira Gandhi National University admission portal after receiving an 11-digit code. Applicants can use this 11-digit number to contact IGNOU for grievances or queries.

IGNOU Result 2025

Results for all IGNOU subjects are displayed online on the official IGNOU website. December 2025 TEE final results are out for early viewing. IGNOU students who need the their results early can go to the results portal and see their term end examination results. IGNOU provide this service for students who need to apply for further studies or for jobs. During the hiring process of various jobs IGNOU students may need to submit the final year mark sheet for evaluation. For this IGNOU lets students download the early viewing mark sheet before the final release of TEE results.

How to Check IGNOU January 2025 Result

Step 1: Go to the IGNOU Website.

Step 2: Select the “Student Service” menu on the taskbar.

Step 3: Now click on the “Results” option.

Step 4: After this, choose the “Term/Semester End” link.

Step 5: Select the type of result that need to be displayed. Eg. “Early Declaration“, “Final Result“

Step 6: After this, enter the enrollment number of the student.

Step 7: Enter the CAPTCHA and submit the online application.

IGNOU Grade Card

Result for the term end examination (TEE) is displayed for students in the IGNOU grade card. Students can download their grade card using the web portal by IGNOU @gradecard.ignou.ac.in/gradecard. This grade card works as the mark sheet of IGNOU semesters. They contain the candidate’s details like enrollment number and name. Academic details like programme code and marks obtained are also displayed on the IGNOU grade card. Students can download their grade card for each subject separately.

How to Download IGNOU Grade Card

Step 1: Visit the IGNOU web portal for grade card.

Step 2: Enter the enrollment number. This number can be found on the IGNOU admit card.

Step 3: Select the programme code from the drop down menu.

Step 4: Correctly enter the captcha code.

Step 5: Press the submit button on the web page.

Step 6: Grade card for the selected programme is displayed. Save the grade card as a PDF.

IGNOU Regional Centres

To support distance education students, IGNOU has made regional centres and study centres a part of its course. Regional centres are zonal buildings that provide administrative support to students. It provides many features like computer labs, library service, & audio video library. These services help students in their distance education journey. On top of this, students also get admission and re registration IGNOU offline services. During the semester change students get the chance to fill the re registration form and IGNOU admission form. This can be completed offline at the IGNOU regional centre.

IGNOU regional centres (RCs) govern smaller study centres in their zone. RC organizes the contact classes schedule for IGNOU study centres. It looks after the successful completion of these one-to-one sessions between students and IGNOU teachers. Students get their specific regional centre and study centre after IGNOU admission process 2025-26. They can also check their study centre online with the help of their enrollment number.

IGNOU Contact Classes

After taking admissions in IGNOU classes students get a chance to interact with students regarding doubt clearing in IGNOU contact classes. Study centres of IGNOU conduct contact classes and counselling sessions for enrolled students in various courses. There students can ask questions, interact with students, and use the equipments and facilities of IGNOU study centres. Schedule for these classes is released online on the website of the allotted regional centre.

Offline IGNOU 2025 Admission at Regional Center

Step 1: For taking admission in the 2025 session using offline IGNOU services visit nearby regional centre.

Step 2: Ask for the office of “Student Service Cell” at the regional centre or study centre.

Step 3: Talk to an IGNOU there and get the offline admission form.

Step 4: Fill the form using a ball pen.
