IGNOU Online CTS Admission 2025: In the current January session, students can apply for IGNOU Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS). IGNOU CTS registration is open for students with 12th pass certificate or equivalent qualification. Both Indian and International students are accepted for this online IGNOU CTS course. Students can find the admission link online on the official online courses website of IGNOU @iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Last date to apply for the IGNOU Tourism Studies certificate is 31 March 2025.

Students get learning support in the form of IGNOU online CTS study material during this programme. Students study this CTS with the help of recorded classes made by IGNOU in-house teachers. Assignments are necessary to complete this course as they carry 30% marks in the final IGNOU grade card. IGNOU Certificate in Tourism Studies is a 6 month certificate course. It is open for students interested in making a career in the tourism sector. IGNOU CTS programme also aims for candidates already working in the tourism industry. It offers students a chance to study the tourism basics and factors affecting tourism of a locality in detail. Further building on that knowledge IGNOU CTS syllabus teaches how different tourism services can be developed into manageable operations.

IGNOU provides learning materials on the online website of Egyankosh. This is a free to all resource which gives course modules to support the learning of students. Similarly to Egyankosh, IGNOU also has a learning management system (LMS) which provides recorded classes to students. These classes cover topics of Tourism certificate like Ethnic Tourism, Pilgrimage, Guides and Escorts.

Students get IGNOU CTS assignments during their semester. These assignments are released online on the LMS and official website of IGNOU. There are multiple importance of IGNOU assignments. IGNOU Online Tourism Studies Certificate Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can apply to IGNOU Online Certificate in Tourism Studies admission after completing 12th class. This qualification can be obtained from any state or national school board of India. Uttar Pradesh School Board, Uttrakhand School Board, Punjab School Board, Andhra School Board, CBSE, ICSE, etc. An equivalent qualification like a Diploma or Polytechnic Degree is also valid. Foreign students can apply with their 12th equivalent qualifications.

Online Process IGNOU CTS Admission 2025

Step 1: Open IGNOU website for online courses. @iop.ignouonline.ac.in

Step 2: Click on link naming “Apply Now”.

Step 3: Select the candidate’s Nationality “Indian” or “International“.

Step 4: Provide details like email ID and mobile number in the registration form.

Step 5: Find a new username and its password for the CTS admission portal. Check the inbox of the provided email during the registration process.

Step 6: Open CTS admission portal. Use the new IGNOU admission credential to open students login.

Step 7: Fill in the application form for IGNOU CTS. Enter personal information and academic details in the online form. 

Step 8: Upload required documents as mentioned in the form. 

Step 9: Pay the IGNOU online CTS application fee of Rs. 300/-.

Step 10: Revise and submit the application form.

IGNOU Certificate in Tourism Studies Fee Structure

National students have to pay Rs. 1,800/- for IGNOU certificate in Tourism Studies admission 2025. This fee can paid after the application process is completed as the IGNOU online Tourism Studies Certificate admission fees. Students from SAARC countries need Rs. 4,000/- for the same IGNOU CTS course. This fee is accepted online through the student login for IGNOU online courses. International students from Non-SAARC countries need to pay $ 300 for this 6 month IGNOU certificate course in Tourism studies.

The exam form fee for IGNOU term-end examinations is not included in this amount. An additional Rs. 200/- per theory subject is paid by students to appear in the IGNOU term end examination.

IGNOU CTS Fee Refund Policy

Students can cancel Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS) admission. In that case IGNOU follows its fee refund policy to decide the amount of fee refunded. This policy refunds let students get a refund within 60 days after the last date of IGNOU Certificate in Tourism Studies admission 2025.

Before the CTS final selection list gets out students can cancel their admission and get their 100% fee back. However, they do not get a refund after the final list is released. In that case a 15% fine on the CTS course fee is penalized on them. Maximum amount of the fine is however kept at Rs. 2,000/-.

Apply for Certificate in Tourism Studies Fee Refund

Step 1: Open the registered email account. Use the same email used during IGNOU  of the registered email used in the BEd admission process 2025.

Step 2: Prepare a mail for IGNOU Tourism Certificate admission cancellation.

Step 3: Mention the complete enrollment number of IGNOU candidates and course name (Certificate in Tourism Studies).

Step 4: Send the mail to canceladms@ignou.ac.in.

Step 5: IGNOU will reply with the confirmation of the fee refund.

How to Download Online CTS Material

To get the study material for CTS course online enrolled students should visit IGNOU LMS home page. On the home screen login dialogue box will appear. Fill it with details to get to the LMS student portal. Enter the CTS enrollment number. Click “course” icon to get to CTS online learning materials. LMS content online PDF click on the online CTS course unit and get the study material. Save it in the PDF format.

IGNOU Online CTS Assignments

When the online CTS semester starts IGNOU uploads the assignments for CTS course online on the Learning Management System (LMS). This is an online web portal for all the learning materials, online classes, and assignments for Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS). A deadline is given to CTS students for submitting the assignments online. Last date for IGNOU June assignments submission is 31st March 2025.

To download the CTS assignments students will need a login ID password for the learning management system. This is given to CTS students after they complete the 2025 IGNOU online CTS admission. After completing the assignments, students can upload the scanned assignment file to IGNOU.

Assignments are used as an evaluation tool. IGNOU uses continuous evaluation with the help of IGNOU CTS assignments. Marks obtained in the IGNOU CTS assignments make up 30% in the final IGNOU CTS grade card.

IGNOU Online CTS Exam Form

IGNOU exam form submission starts for CTS course one month before the term-end examinations. Official website of IGNOU releases a notification telling students about the last date for submission of the exam form. Students fill the IGNOU CTS exam form before the decided last date. Students who have submitted IGNOU CTS assignments are eligible to fill the Tourism Studies exam forms.
