IGNOU Shimla Regional Centre: IGNOU Shimla Regional was founded in 1989. Initially, it began with 8 study centres spread across Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Chandigarh, serving 700 learners. Today, the regional centre has expanded to include 69 study centres and enrols nearly 9000 students annually.

IGNOU Shimla Regional Centre Admission 2024
The last date to apply for IGNOU admission at the Shimla Regional Centre for the July academic session will be 30 June 2024. Students can apply by the deadline at the university’s official portal, @rcshimla.ignou.ac.in. The registration process starts two times a year for admissions at the Shimla Regional Centre (January and July) sessions.
IGNOU Shimla Regional Centre offers admission to students to most programs based on merit, and some of the programs hold entrance examinations for BEd, PhD, and BSc programs.
