IGNOU Online BCA Admission 2026: The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at IGNOU is a 3-year PG course. Offered in online mode, to take admission in IGNOU BCA, eligibility requires 10+2  equivalent or an A pass in Diploma in Commercial Practice or equivalent. Students need to pay a course fee of Rs. 16,000/- per year. To apply, students can visit the IGNOU distance education admission portal and pay the IGNOU application fee of Rs. 300/-. Indira Gandhi National Open University will open its BCA course admission portal for the July academic batch for interested and eligible candidates. The last date of IGNOU Online BCA course admission 2026 will be 31 May 2026*. This online course will be provided with online classes and learning materials to students. To apply, students must pass the 12th grade. An equivalent degree or diploma is also accepted for IGNOU online BCA admission 2026. This course provides flexible study timing and resources like recorded classes and online study modules.

Online applications are accepted on the portal for IGNOU online courses. Students must fill out the form online and pay the IGNOU application fee on the portal. This BCA program covers in-demand skills like programming, database management, and web technologies.

IGNOU’s online learning system is made available to students so that they can access study materials anytime. They can use the Learning Management System (LMS) to access the IGNOU BCA online study material. Students can also choose to exit this course with a certificate or a Diploma before the completion of 3-years. This is possible because of the new NEP guideline of 2020. The student must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Before applying for the Online BCA course admission at IGNOU, applicants must have passed 10+2 examination from recognised boards like CBSE, ICSE, Bihar Board, Delhi Board, Tamil Board, etc., to become eligible for admission.

• 12th equivalent diploma like Diploma in Commercial Practices.

How to apply for IGNOU Online BCA Admission

• Go to the official website for the online courses of IGNOU. @iop.ignouonline.ac.in
• On the home page links for “Apply now” is given, click on it.
• Two options will appear for “International Students” and the other for “Indian Students”. Click on the admission link accordingly.
• This will open the registration portal.
• Register for the IGNOU online courses admission process and create a new admission account.
• Log in to the admission portal with the new account.
• Enter the details in the application form that appears on the screen.
• Select the subject as BCA when option for selecting the subject appears.
• Upload all the necessary documents. Full list is given below.
• Pay the application fee for IGNOU online programmes of Rs. 300/-.

IGNOU Online BCA Examination Pattern

Exam for IGNOU Online BCA follows a semester system. Exams are held twice a year – in June and December. Each semester has:

• Term-End Examination (TEE): 70% weightage
• Assignments: 30% weightage

The Term-End Exam is conducted in online proctored mode. You need to score at least 35% in both TEE and assignments to pass a course. The university provides multiple attempts to clear exams.

IGNOU Online BCA Fee Refund

Bachelor of Computer Application admission for enrolled students is available for cancellation. Students get 100% fee refund before the final list of admission. Although IGNOU also takes a fine of 15% on the course fee if BCA admission cancellation is made after the final list announcement.

However, students must note that refund is only available 60 days after the last BCA admission date. IGNOU makes no refund after the end of the 60 days period.
