Admission process for the 2-Year IGNOU MSc Mathematics course will open soon for the July 2026 academic year. The application process is conducted online through the official web portal @ignou.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form for IGNOU MSc Mathematics course will be 30 June 2026*. Due to this, IGNOU Master of Science in Mathematics with Application in Computer Science (MSCMACS) has been a popular option among students. Students get the admission process twice a year in July & July. Students will get learning materials and contact classes. These are conducted by IGNOU with the help of MSc Mathematics study centre. 

Students will complete semester assignments to appear in the term-end examinations. There are final exams conducted every semester end for eligible students. This degree is valid for higher education and jobs. IGNOU students can apply for MSc Mathematics jobs after getting their final grade cards. 

IGNOU MSc Mathematics Eligibility

• The applicants need to graduate with a major or Honours in Mathematics to become eligible for admission.
• The students who have completed a BSc/BA degree with mathematics as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage are also eligible to apply.
• The MSc Mathematics course medium is English.
• There is no minimum or maximum age limit to apply.

MSc Mathematics IGNOU Course Fees

IGNOU students will have to pay a per-semester fee for MSc Mathematics of Rs. 7,100/-. Annual fee amounts to Rs. 14,200/-. Students can submit the fees in installments. 

During admission students will also pay Rs. 300/- for application fee. IGNOU also asks Rs. 200/- for a University Development Fee. It is needed as a one-time fee for securing their seat. 

Exam form fee for MSCMACS theory subjects is Rs. 200/-. Every semester IGNOU will also collect practical form fees from students of Rs. 300/-. Eligible students will pay this amount to appear for the term end examination.

Step 2: Register with Email ID

• Click on “New Registration”.

There are no regular physical classes for IGNOU students. Thus, to clear doubts regarding courses like MSc Mathematics, students get contact sessions.
