IGNOU Online Diploma in Creative Writing Admission
DCEOL admission at IGNOU for the July 2026 academic session will open soon, with the last date to apply till 31 May 2026*. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) online course in creative writing is a 1-year diploma. Offered for both Indian and International students, it offers a syllabus covering the essential needs and technical knowledge for critical, fiction, and media writing. The Online Creative Writing IGNOU Diploma course is provided with the help of online learning platforms such as IGNOU E-gyankosh and Learning Management System (LMS).
IGNOU Online Diploma in Creative Writing learning materials are available on LMS. A student login password and username is given by IGNOU after admission. Audio, video, and written content regarding DCE is available online.
However, IGNOU follows a continuous assessment scheme with both DCE assignments and term end examinations (TEEs) being used for making the final IGNOU DCEOL grade card.
Eligibility for IGNOU Online Diploma in Creative Writing
12th pass Indian students can apply for the IGNOU Online Creative Writing Diploma admission 2026. Whereas IGNOU also accepts students without a 12th pass certificate. However, such students must be over 20 years of age. Foreign students are also invited to apply. They need a 12th level secondary education qualification. There is no age limit for 12th-grade qualified students.

IGNOU Online Creative Writing Admission Process
- IGNOU DCEOL admission are open @iop.ignouonline.ac.in.
- Open “Apply Now“ link just on the homepage.
- Select candidate’s nationality “Indian” or “International”.
- Register for the 2026 online DCE admission process. This will generate the username and password for IGNOU student login for admission form filling.
- Get to the inbox of the provided email during DCEOL registration. Copy the IGNOU username login ID and password.
- Open the admission portal to start filling the Online DCE admission form.
- Upload documents that are mentioned in the form.
- Pay the application fee after all the other formalities are done.
- Submit the DCEOL admission form.

DCEOL IGNOU Fees
Academic IGNOU DCEOL course fee is Rs. 4,100/-. For international SAARC students this fee amounts to Rs. 8,000/-. Similarly, other International students who are from countries other than SAARC need $ 600/- for IGNOU DCEOL admission 2026. During the online application process Rs. 300/- is deposited as the application fee. However, this fee is non refundable. Additionally, IGNOU asks for an exam form fee of Rs. 200/- every semester. Similarly to the application fee IGNOU term end exam form fee is non refundable.

Diploma in Creative Writing online Diploma at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) carries a total of 24 credit points. IGNOU DCEOL Fee Refund
Online Diploma in Creative Writing fee refund policy has provision of 100% fee refund. Students applying for DCEOL admission cancellation before final IGNOU list get total deposit fees back. Admission cancellation after IGNOU online DCE admission 2026 gets a fine of 15%. Maximum fine is Rs. 2,000/- enrolled students. No DCEOL fee refund is available after 60 days. These 60 days are counted from the last admission date.

- Open registered mail. Use the email for DCEOL admission process.
- Compose the mail for admission cancellation.
- Type in Programme Name (Online Diploma in Creative Writing), Candidate’s Name (Same as in admission form), and Enrollment Number.
- Send the completed email to IGNOU. Use the email address @canceladms@ignou.ac.in.
- IGNOU will process the email and start the fee refund procedure.
