What is IGNOU Online MATS?
IGNOU Master of Arts in Translation Studies is a 2 year professional course. This course is an online PG level course that teaches the theory and practice of the art of translation. It is among the few online translation courses in India. IGNOU teaches this course in 4 semesters using online recorded classes, contact classes, learning materials, and assignments. Students can enroll in this course using the online IGNOU students login.
This course is open for foreign and national students. There are separate admission portals available for foreign students. IGNOU Online MATS Fee Structure
IGNOU MATSOL fee has mainly two categories. There is academic fee, paid semester wise by students. And, there is a miscellaneous fee that covers various expenses that are produced during the admission process and later. Indian students need to pay Rs. 4,800/- per year as the MA in Translation Studies course fee. This fee covers the academic and tuition fee. Foreign students from SAARC countries have a course fee amount of Rs. 9,000/-.
Other International students pay $550/- for a MATSOL degree. Apart from academic fee, there are other expenses like application fee that needs to be paid during the admission process. After the admission process every semester IGNOU has an exam form fee for the IGNOU term end examination. It is collected for every course. Rs. 200/- is the theory course fee and Rs. 300/- for the practical and project course fee. Application fee for the online MATS course is Rs. 300/-.

Online MATS Fee Refund
Admission cancellation for the MATS course is allowed till 60 days after the last date of the MA in Translation Studies. Students get 100% fee refund if the MATS admission cancellation is done before the final list of selected students is released.
After the IGONU online MATS admission 2025-26 is confirmed and the list of the selected students is released. Students get a fine of 15% MATSOL course fee. Fine amount will not go over Rs. 2000/-. After 60 days from the online MA Translation Studies final admission date, no refund is possible.
