IGNOU MSW Admission 2025:. Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission for MSW course for 2025 academic year. MSW full form Master of Social Work. Eligible candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply. This 2-year program cost Rs. 36,000/- to the students. Application forms are available online. IGNOU MSW Admission 2025

MSW full form is called Master of Social Work.This programme is focused on increasing the awareness of students about social issues and work. Students study IGNOU MSW syllabus containing subjects such as Social work history, Criminal Justice, Counselling, etc. This courses teaches to find answers to societal problems and organize social movements. IGNOU provide MSW assignments and study materials every semester for students. IGNOU MSW admission last date is 30 July 2025.

Eligibility Criteria IGNOU MSW

IGNOU MSW degree admission require a bachelor’s degree. IGNOU admission process does not require a minimum mark criteria. Students from all age groups can apply for admission at IGNOU.

For IGNOU admission students do not have to meet any minimum mark criteria. Master of Social Work (MSW) course also do not require students to obtain any minimum mark ceiling.

MSW IGNOU Fees

To complete the course students must pay a course fee of Rs. 18,000/- per year. This amounts the total fee for IGNOU MSW distance education as Rs. 36,000/-. During the admission process MSW candidates pay the IGNOU application fee of Rs. 300/-. All fees are collected online, however if students want they can contact the IGNOU regional center for offline fee payment and admission process.

Apart from the admission and academic amount, IGNOU also collects a fee of Rs. 200/- from students selected for IGNOU MSW course. This fee is called the University Development Fee. This is necessary to complete the MSW admission process.

Medium of Instructions

IGNOU MSW course is available in both English and Hindi. All the course curriculum can be obtained in Hindi and English. This ensures that more students study this PG degree. Similarly to the course syllabus, students can also get the assignments and the term end examination paper in both the languages.

IGNOU MSW Admission Process Steps

Step 1: Open the admission website @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. This is specifically made for distance education programs.

Step 2: Register for MSW admission by clicking “New Registration“. This will make a login ID for the admission portal. Students who have already made the login ID can skip this step.

Step 3: Login to the admission portal

Step 4: Start filling the admission form giving in all the details asked on the application form.

Step 5: Select the subject as MSW. IGNOU admission process 2025 has options of many UG and PG courses.

Step 6: After selecting the subject, upload the documents needed.

Step 7: Pay the MSW application fee of Rs. 300/-.

Step 8: Submit the admission form by clicking on the “Submit” button. Download the acknowledgement page. This page will help in future conversation with the university.

Is Field Work Important for MSW 2025?

Students who enroll in the IGNOU MSW program get field exposure where students need to visit the places and cover the issues affecting common people, raise them, and make a case study on such topics. Scope of MSW from IGNOU

Students can get confused about the scope of MSW from IGNOU. Students who complete the MSW program can work with individuals, families, and communities to deal with issues such as education, unemployment, and poverty. They can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work in local, state, and national government, as well as non-governmental organizations. A professional degree was not previously required to work in the field of social work.

IGNOU MSW Assignments

While studying the MSW distance education IGNOU gives practice assignments for completion to students. They are uploaded as PDF files on the official MSW assignments IGNOU portal. Students can download assignments for IGNOU MSW from the official website and submit them before the deadline. MSW assignments last date to submit is 31 May 2025.

Step 1: Visit the IGNOU Web Site.

Step 2: On the taskbar click on “Student Services“.

Step 3: Menu for “Download” must be clicked.

Step 4: Link for “Current Assignment Portal” on the screen.

Step 5: Search for the MSW assignment.

Step 6: Download the IGNOU MSW assignment PDF.

MSW Assignment Submission

Students can submit MSW IGNOU assignments in 2 ways. They can either – go to the regional centre website. There fill the google form. Or, visit the Regional centre in person. Use offline submission facilities. However, in both cases – students must prepare handwritten assignments.

MSW Fee Refund

Students can apply for fee refund on the submitted MSW fees at IGNOU. University will offer 100% fee refund before the final seat allotment. After the seat is confirmed students will be fined of 15% of MSW course fee. After 60 days from the last date no fee refund request is processed.

IGNOU MSW Coordinators 

Every program at IGNOU has a coordinator that supervises the entire program. You can reach out to the coordinator in case of any problems you experience during the course. The coordinator will oversee all essential elements of your course including counseling, assignments, and dissertation projects. Dr. Saumya is the coordinator for this program.
