IGNOU MBA Re-registration 2026
IGNOU re-registration process is open for distance MBA and Online MBA courses for the January 2026 academic session. Students applying for the next semester of the 2nd/3rd/4th semester are required to re-register. Eligible students who have appeared for TEE exams can apply for re-admission. IGNOU MBA Re-registration 2026 last date is 28 February 2026. The re-registration fee is INR 15,500 for the 2nd semester. However, for the 3rd semester, IGNOU has asked for Rs. 17,500/-. Students from foreign countries are also allowed to apply for IGNOU MBA admission. SAARC countries and other international candidates can apply with a BBA or a Bachelor’s equivalent qualification. There is no age limit for the IGNOU admission process.
Who is Eligible for IGNOU MBA Admission 2026?
The students who have completed their graduation in BBA or any other specialisation with not less 50% aggregate marks are eligible for MBA admission at IGNOU. The University accept admission completely based on applicants’ performance in the last qualifying examination (merit-based). This is because an MBA is a professional degree that teaches a variety of skills which are not specific to any one domain. Thus it can be pursued by everyone.
For reserved category MBA applicants, the minimum required percentage is 45%. Employment status of the student is not necessary. These are the admission offline process steps that applicants have to follow for the IGNOU MBA admission 2026. Must visit your regional centre and fill form there.
- Go to the offline Regional Centre (RC) of IGNOU.
- Meet an IGNOU employee at the campus in the “Student Service Cell”.

IGNOU MBA Fee Structure 2026
IGNOU collects fees every semester of the IGNOU MBA program. The total fee for the IGNOU MBA programme is INR 77,500/-. The first instalment of this amount is called the IGNOU MBA admission fee. This has to be paid just after the admission process. The per-semester fee is Rs. 15,500/-. IGNOU has released the course list for MBA with a fee structure. Every specialization has the same fee amount. SC candidates and other reserved category students will get scholarships and a fee waiver based on the scholarship schemes of the central and state governments.
Along with the academic fee, IGNOU has the following fee category that students must pay.
- IGNOU MBA Registration Fee is INR 300 for General Category aspirants
- University Development fee of INR 200/-. This is a one time fee, paid by the selected candidates.

IGNOU accepts national and state-level scholarships to help students who can not fully finance their own education. In addition to the national scholarship program, IGNOU also has another web portal called Vidya Lakshmi. This online web portal helps students find education loan and scholarship programs from various private and government resources. IGNOU MBA Fee Refund Policy
Admission cancellation for IGNOU MBA courses is allowed for enrolled students. Apply for fee refund 2026 session if you decide to discontinue your admission process. In such case a student will have the chance to get total 100% fee refund only if he/she cancels admission before the confirmation.
After the IGONU MBA admission 2026-27 is confirmed a fine is deducted by IGNOU. Fine of 15% MBA course fee. Maximum amount is fixed on Rs. 2000/-. Students must submit the documents for fee refund till 60 days after the last date of admission.
