IGNOU MBA Admission 2026: The University is accepting admission forms for the MBA course in the January 2026 academic session. The applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree from any recognized University can apply for MBA courses at IGNOU in the January academic session. Indira Gandhi National Open University is inviting students for MBA admission for the January 2026 academic year. The University is accepting application forms online through the admission portal. 28 February 2026 is the last date of IGNOU MBA admission 2026. IGNOU has opened the MBA admission for 9 specialisations, and the applicants can apply online by paying an INR 300 application fee at @ignou.ac.in. IGNOU MBA Admission Process 2026

• IGNOU MBA application form 2026 is available for the January session. To complete the MBA admission 2026, IGNOU candidates must follow the steps below:
• Visit the official ODL admission portal of IGNOU to apply for admission to the MBA program.
• Register at the IGNOU portal by clicking “New Registration“.
• Create a new username and password by filling up the registration form.
• Log in to the ODL admission portal with the new username and password.
• Fill out the admission form for IGNOU with complete personal and educational details.
• And upload all required documents.
• Verify all details and submit the IGNOU MBA admission form 2026.
• Take a printout of the filled IGNOU form for future use.
• IGNOU admission status can be checked with the help of the enrollment number generated in the acknowledgement form.

IGNOU MBA Admission Process Offline

These are the admission offline process steps that applicants have to follow for the IGNOU MBA admission 2026. Must visit your regional centre and fill form there.

• Go to the offline Regional Centre (RC) of IGNOU.
• Meet an IGNOU employee at the campus in the “Student Service Cell”.
• Ask for the MBA admission form 2026.
• Get the admission form, and use a ball pen to fill it.
• Enter MBA under the subject section.
• Submit documents copies of IDs, Mark sheets, and address proof.
• Pay the IGNOU application fee.
• Submit the MBA IGNOU admission form online.

IGNOU MBA Fee Structure 2026

IGNOU collects fees every semester of the IGNOU MBA program. The total fee for the IGNOU MBA programme is INR 77,500/-. The first instalment of this amount is called the IGNOU MBA admission fee. This has to be paid just after the admission process. The per-semester fee is Rs. 15,500/-. IGNOU has released the course list for MBA with a fee structure. Every specialization has the same fee amount. SC candidates and other reserved category students will get scholarships and a fee waiver based on the scholarship schemes of the central and state governments. 

Along with the academic fee, IGNOU has the following fee category that students must pay.

• IGNOU MBA Registration Fee is INR 300 for General Category aspirants
• University Development fee of INR 200/-. This is a one time fee, paid by the selected candidates.
• IGNOU Exam forms for the term end examination have a fee of Rs. 200/- for every theory subject and Rs. 300/- for every practical subject.

IGNOU MBA Admission 2026 Status

To check the current status of MBA admission application students can visit IGNOU admission status website and follow the below steps:

• Open “Know you Admission” portal.
• Enter the enrollment number
• Select the programme code.
• Enter the online verification code.
• Click submit, and there you will have your MBA admission/registration status on the screen.

IGNOU MBA Marketing Management is focused on the process of product design and selling techniques. Students specialize in soft skills like creative thinking, communication and technical skills like advertising, promotion, sales and services.

IGNOU MBA in Banking and Finance syllabus deals with corporate finance and banking finance development. IGNOU offers this course with the help of Institute of Banking and Finance. Students prepare themselves for management roles in the banking and corporate sector.

IGNOU MBA Operations Management syllabus deals with the various services that a corporation provides. Students learn how to keep an organization running while maintaining an efficient allocation of resources and finances. IGNOU MBA Operations Management study material deals with consumer expectations and how businesses can address them without delay. Students also have to submit an IGNOU MBA Operations Management project work showcasing their practical understanding of the course.

IGNOU MBA Assignments

IGNOU assignments contain practice questions that are used by IGNOU MBA students to practice the theoretical concepts of MBA subjects like accounts and marketing. These assignments are uploaded on the official assignment portal. 

Students must submit the MBA assignments before this last date, otherwise their assignments will not be considered for the final IGNOU MBA grade card. Assignments have 30% marks for every IGNOU semester. This help IGNOU is the continuous assessment of students.

Offline IGNOU MBA Assignment Submission

• Visit the IGNOU Regional Centre.
• Go to the student service cell. Through this section regional centre keeps offline student services.

• Get the acknowledgement receipt.

Scholarships for IGNOU MBA

IGNOU accepts national and state-level scholarships to help students who can not fully finance their own education. Students can go to the national scholarship portal @scholarships.gov.in to apply for the scholarship programs that they are eligible for. In this portal they will find many scholarship programs that can cover their IGNOU MBA education.

In addition to the national scholarship program, IGNOU also has another web portal called Vidya Lakshmi. This online web portal helps students find education loan and scholarship programs from various private and government resources. IGNOU started this portal to help students who want to self finance their distance education.

IGNOU MBA Fee Refund Policy

Admission cancellation for IGNOU MBA courses is allowed for enrolled students. Apply for fee refund 2026 session if you decide to discontinue your admission process. In such case a student will have the chance to get total 100% fee refund only if he/she cancels admission before the confirmation.

After the IGONU MBA admission 2026-27 is confirmed a fine is deducted by IGNOU. Fine of 15% MBA course fee. Maximum amount is fixed on Rs. 2000/-. Students must submit the documents for fee refund till 60 days after the last date of admission.
