IGNOU BPP Admission 2025: The IGNOU Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme is a 6-month UG program. This program is especially made for students that want to complete their 12th qualification for higher studies. You must be 18 years old to pursue this program, with no prior qualification necessary. IGNOU BPP admission are paused for the current session. IGNOU admission to other programs is open till 31 March 2025.
Students can apply by visiting the IGNOU ODL admission portal @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. IGNOU application fee is INR 300 while the course fee is INR 1,200.
This program covers subjects like Social Sciences, Commerce, and General Mathematics, preparing students for various bachelor’s degree courses like BCom and BA.

IGNOU BPP Admission 2025
Bachelor of Preparatory Programme is a 6 month UG degree. It is open to students who are 18 years of age or above. It is offered for students who are not able to complete their 12th class. To apply for UG degrees like BTS, BA, etc students must have a 12th or equivalent education. This IGNOU degree helps students meet the eligibility criteria for bachelor’s degrees by providing 12th level knowledge in Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences. BPP admissions at IGNOU are online and they can be completed on the official ODL admission website of the university. Currently in this January 2025 session, no new BPP IGNOU admission is allowed.
IGNOU admission process is also conducted offline at the IGNOU regional centers. A student service desk is set up for offline applicants. BPP course fee is Rs. 1,200/-. Students can wait for the reopening of IGNOU BPP admission process.
IGNOU BPP Eligibility Criteria
Students do not need any formal education to be eligible for IGNOU BPP admission. Students just have to be 18 years old to apply for IGNOU BPP. There is no maximum limit for a candidate’s age. Students can apply from every age group. The BPP students do not have to meet any additional requirements to be eligible for the program.
NOTE: Currently this course is not offered as a IGNOU distance course.
IGNOU BPP Fee Structure
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) accepts course fee, application fee, and university development fee. Course fee for BPP is Rs. 1,200/-, this is a one time payment for the whole BPP course. During the IGNOU application process, a fee is accepted as the processing amount. This application fee is Rs. 300/-. Student applying offline can submit this amount at the IGNOU regional center. There is no additional amount for IGNOU admission but students will also have to pay a university development fee of Rs. 200/-. Admission process is completed after paying the IGNOU university development fee.

How to Fill Online IGNOU Admission Form
Step 1: Go to @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. This is the distance learning admission portal.
Step 2: Make a new account for admission by clicking “New Registration”.
Step 3: Read the instruction carefully of the new window that opens.
Step 4: Register by providing Email and Mobile number details. This will make a new admission username and password. It will be sent to the provided email ID.
Step 5: Login to the admission portal with the new username and password.
Step 6: Start filling the online admission form. This form asks for the information like name, email, mobile number, education details, etc.
Step 7: Select the desired subject in the admission form.
Step 8: Upload the admission documents asked in the IGNOU form.
Step 9: Pay the application fee for IGNOU online admission process 2025.
Step 10: Submit the application form by clicking on the “Submit” button at last.

IGNOU BPP Assignment
The BPP Assignment has a 30% weightage in total marks of particular subjects. Students enrolled in the IGNOU BPP programme must submit their assignments by the deadline. Students can submit the assignment by visiting the official portal of the university and also visiting the nearby Regional & Study Centre.
BPP candidates are required to download these assignments and complete them to be able to take the Term End Exam for the program. Only students who have completed a given number of IGNOU BPP assignments will be eligible for IGNOU BPP term end examinations.
To submit the BPP assignments offline students can bind their assignments in spiral bind and visit the IGNOU regional center. IGNOU provides student service centers at Regional centers, there students are assisted in various administrative tasks. Assignments can be with the student service centers at IGNOU regional centers.
