IGNOU BEd Course
Bachelor of Education is a 2 year professional course in the field of teacher training. IGNOU has started the distance education program for this course to assist students interested in forming a career in teaching. This distance education IGNOU course is filled with subjects focused on training students in teaching techniques. These subjects include teaching methodology, Contemporary India and Education, Childhood and Learning, etc. IGNOU B.Ed admission 2025 last date to apply is 28 February 2025.
IGNOU assigns specific study centers to BEd students after admission process. These study centers deals with the counselling sessions for BEd subjects. These counselling sessions or contact classes are necessary. Without completion of these contact classes students won’t be allowed to appear in the final term end examinations.

To be eligible, student must carry a UG or PG degree with at least 50% percent of marks. If the student have a postgraduate, it should be completed in any of the following courses Science/Social Science/Humanities/Commerce.
Students with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or with a specialization in Science and Mathematics need to have a minimum of 55% marks. IGNOU provides relaxation of 5% required marks following government norms to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) or PWD categories.
Trained in-service teachers in elementary education are eligible for IGNOU BEd admission 2025 without minimum percentage criteria. Students who have completed face-to-face mode, NCTE-recognized teacher education program can also apply for the B.Ed ODL program.

Reservation and Relaxation
To make education more equitable IGNOU admission 2025 follows university reservation policy for the BEd course. As per the rule of the Central Government, a relaxation of 5% percent marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. IGNOU BEd Entrance Test
IGNOU BEd notification will be released soon on the official website ignou.ac.in. Students who want to appear in the entrance test can apply online on the admission portal. Based on rank in the entrance test, the final admission will be done. Last date for the BEd entrance test is 16th March 2025. Hall tickets will be uploaded on the official IGNOU website.
Students must also meet the other eligibility criteria for admission along with passing the entrance test. Not meeting the above given eligibility criteria will result in the cancellation of the admission form of the candidate during the merit list formation.

IGNOU BEd Fees
Bachelor of Education course at IGNOU has academic fees, application fee, re registration fee, exam form fee, and a university development fee. IGNOU BEd course fee is Rs. 55,000/-. Students can pay the first installment of BEd fees as the IGNOU BEd admission 2025 fees. IGNOU accepts academic fees as semester payment. IGNOU application fee is Rs. 300/-. IGNOU Simultaneous Admission
Students are allowed to pursue 2 courses from IGNOU at the same time. This gives extra edge to students who can manage their time and studies to gain multiple qualifications. This can be done in the same academic year while choosing the same level short term courses. For example: Students can choose 2 IGNOU certificate programs in the same admission cycle.
One UG and one PG program must be selected in different admission cycles. Eg. If a student decides to select an MA course with an IGNOU BEd course, they must choose one subject in the July cycle and the other in the January cycle. Similarly the combination of two UG & two PG courses also follows the same rule.

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2025
IGNOU BEd Entrance examination is an all-India level entrance test conducted by the University as a Computer Based Test (CBT). In 20205 session IGNOU BEd entrance exam will be in offline mode, the duration of the test is two hours. An entrance test comprised two sections and included a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Indira Gandhi National Open University BEd entrance exam registration will be done online and the registration fee is INR 1000. Applicants can deposit the BEd entrance registration fee at the online portal of the university with the help of a debit/credit card, Net Banking, or UPI. After depositing the entrance fee, the students shall write the 2025 BEd entrance examination. Admission to IGNOU BEd course 2025 depends on the performance in this entrance test.
IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam Pattern
IGNOU B.Ed entrance is an online conducted exam. It consists of multiple-choice questions. Students will have to answer 100 questions for 100 marks. There will be no negative marking. Question paper is divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 of the BEd entrance exam covers the General English comprehension, analytical reasoning, logical thinking, and general knowledge of a student. There are questions from the general subject of these courses.

Step 1: After completing the IGNOU BEd assignments, compile it in a spiral bind.
Step 2: Make a front page mentioning the student’s name, roll number, subject code, date, and other needed details.
Step 3: Make sure that the assignment is hand written. Printed or typed assignments will not be accepted.

IGNOU BEd Term End Examination
IGNOU conducts term end examination (TEE ) at the end of every semester. Students apply to the BEd TEE by filling up the IGNOU exam forms. These forms are released a month before the TEEs. To appear in the IGNOU BEd term end examination students must fill these exam forms. IGNOU exam form fee is Rs. 200/- per theory subject and Rs. 300/- per practical subject. If a student misses the deadline, exam forms can be filled in with a late fee of INR 1100.
