IGNOU BCom Admission 2026: Indira Gandhi National Open University will start the admission for the Bachelor of Commerce course in the July Cycle. The University will release the admission form online at the official website. The last date of IGNOU BCom admission 2026 will be 30 June 2026*. The BCom course is offered in only 1 specialisation by IGNOU. This course can be completed in 3 to 6 years. The students who have a 10+2 Grade certification are eligible to apply for admission.

IGNOU B.Com course fees are INR 4,800 per year, and the application fees are INR 300. To take admission, students must pay their fees online by visiting the official website. In this course, students will study important business and commerce topics like Business Economics, Corporate Accounting, Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting. There are several ways to enter and exit IGNOU. This course can be extended for up to 4 years, after which students will receive an honours degree. This feature was added to the IGNOU BCom course after the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The basic BA admission eligibility requirement at IGNOU is 10+2 (Higher Secondary) passed or its equivalent from any recognised boards like Maharashtra Board, Rajasthan Board, CBSE, etc. IGNOU registration fee is INR 300, and the academic fee for the B.Com program is INR 4,800 per year.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is a 3/4 years undergraduate course. IGNOU students may take 6 years to complete the BCom course. The minimum duration of this program is 3 years. When extended for 4 years, students can graduate with an honours degree in BCom. Eligible students can apply for the  IGNOU BCom.

Eligibility Criteria For IGNOU BCom Admission

For the July academic session, the IGNOU BCom course admission eligibility requirement is 10+2 grade education from any recognised board. Admission is done only based on merit score, there are no minimum marks required. Students must be 12th pass from a national or state board like Assam Education Board, Rajasthan Education Board, UP Board, CBSE, etc. If a student does not have a 12th qualification, they can also apply with a 12th equivalent diploma or degree, like a BPP or Polytech Diploma, etc.

IGNOU fee for the BCom course is INR 4800 per year, which is paid online through various payment methods like UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, etc. The University also charge an application fee of INR 300 at the time of admission, which is non-refundable.

• Step 2: Register for the admission process. On the homepage of the IGNOU admission portal link for “New Registration” is given.
  
• Step 3: In the new registration portal provide email and mobile number.
  
• Step 4: After completing registration, check the registered email for new username and the password of IGNOU login details.
• Step 5: Log in on the admission portal for the IGNOU BCom admission.
• Step 6: Start filling the admission form. Start entering personal and academic details.

IGNOU BCom Assignment 2026

Indira Gandhi National Open University Assignment submission portal for the BCom program is open now, and the last date to submit it is 30 April 2026. Students who are pursuing an IGNOU BCom course from IGNOU need to submit their assignments as per the process prescribed by the institution. IGNOU states that the scores in assignments are considered while calculating the semester’s marks.

These IGNOU BCom assignments contain questions prepared based on the IGNOU BCom syllabus. IGNOU BCom Fee Refund

During the IGNOU BCom admission process, students can cancel their admission. IGNOU fee refund policy has a clause of giving 100% fee refund before the final list release. Whereas students get 15% fine on the course fee if they cancel admission after the BCom final list. However, IGNOU restricts admission refunds after 60 days have passed from the BCom last application date.
