Indira Gandhi National Open University has a 2-year online Master of Arts in Hindi (MHDOL) course. This course is the post graduate study of Hindi literature offering study of various eras of Hindi literature writing. IGNOU students study the development of Hindi novel writing and poetry writing. They cover modern Hindi writing and postmodern Hindi literature. IGNOU online MA Hindi syllabus covers the social and political effects of literature.

Per year course fee for IGNOU Online MA in Hindi is Rs. 6,000/-. This is the academic fee for Indian Students. Academic fee for International students and SAARC students differs. Yearly fees for SAARC students is Rs. 11,000/- for MHDOL programme. While international students pay $ 700/- per year for this MA course.

IGNOU also collects Rs. 300/-  as application fee. An exam form fee for theory subjects of Rs. 200/- is collected for every semester.

IGNOU Online MA Hindi Application Process

Step 1: Open IGNOU website. @iop.ignouonline.ac.in

Step 2: Click on “Apply Now” link showing on the homepage.

Step 3: Choose the nationality of the applicant “Indian” or “International“.

Step 4: Provide details in the registration form thus opened. Give email ID and mobile number.

Step 5: Go to the inbox and copy the username and password.

Step 6: Open online MHD admission portal. Open students login by entering the copied username and password.

IGNOU Term-End Examination (TEE)

Every IGNOU semester ends with the final term examination. These examinations are conducted for online MA Hindi enrolled students. IGNOU TEEs are subjective type 3-hour examinations. They are conducted offline at IGNOU exams centres. IGNOU Regional Centre seleMHD the exam centres for the online Hindi MA final term examinations.

IGNOU MHDOL Fee Refund Policy

MA Online Hindi admission process also includes a fee refund policy. This policy allows students to  cancel their admission with a provision of getting the deposited fee back. This is in accordance with the UGC rule for fees for higher education. IGNOU allows MA online Hindi admission cancellation before 60 days are completed from the last date of IGNOU 2025-26 admission. Students can get 100% of deposited fee back if they apply for fee refund before MA Online Hindi admission list is announced.

However if students apply for MHDOL fee refund after the admission list is released, they must bear a fine of 15% of Online Hindi course fee. This fine has a maximum limit of Rs. 2,000/-. Fee refund requests after 60 days will not be entertained by IGNOU. No fee refund will be given to students applying after 60 days have passed from admission last date. All refunds will be made on the deposited fee. Application fee will remain outside the purview of IGNOU fee refund policy.

How to Apply for IGNOU MHDOL Fee Refund

Step 1: Open the email registered during online Hindi admission process 2025.

Step 2: Prepare a mail for IGNOU MHDOL admission cancellation.

Step 3: Mention Online Hindi MA enrollment number. Also write the course code (MHDOL) and name (Online Master of Arts in Hindi).
