The students who passed in the courses like BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom, MSc, MBA, MLIS, and more from IGNOU must register to appear in the 39th convocation. The students who have completed their studies in the December 2024 and June 2025 term-end examinations are eligible to apply for the 39th convocation at IGNOU. The registration fee for IGNOU Convocation is INR 600 for PhD, M.Phil, PG Degree, UG Degree, PG Diploma, and Diploma programmes, and INR 200 for PG Certificate and Certificate courses like PGCAP, PGCAE, CWHM, CRUL & etc.

IGNOU 39th Convocation fees for Master’s, Bachelor’s, PhD, and diploma degrees will remain at Rs 600 per certificate. PG Certificate and Certificate program students must additionally apply for IGNOU Convocation and pay Rs 200 per certificate to receive their program certificates.

How to Apply for IGNOU Convocation

Step 1: Visit the official website of 39 Convocation @onlineservices.ignou.ac.in/convocation/.

Step 2: Go to the student registration portal and register with your enrollment number.

Step 3: Pay the requisite fee for PhD/ M.Phil/ Master Degree/Bachelor Degree/ PG Diploma/ Diploma programmes = Rs. 600/ and for PG Certificate/ Certificate programmes = Rs. 200/- (such as PGCAP, PGCAE, CWHM, CRUL & etc.)

Documents Required

The university requires a soft copy of important documents such as educational certificates, a scan of passport-size photographs, a signature, a reservation certificate, address proof, etc. You must ensure that all the documents are well-scanned, clearly visible, and properly uploaded. PS: The registration price is Rs. 600 per certificate for MBA, MCA, and M.COM students, among others. If a student qualifies for more than one program module, they must purchase each certificate separately for Rs. 600.

IGNOU Convocation Dress Code

The IGNOU Convocation dress code is separate for male and female students. The male candidates are required to wear white/off white cream coloured Bharatiya Paridhan (Indian Dress), preferably made of Handloom/Khadi. The female students must wear White / Off-white or cream coloured Bharatiya Paridhan (Indian Dress) Sari or Salwar Kurta, or Salwar Kameez, etc. The female students also prefer to dress in clothes made of Handloom/Khadi.
