IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre: IGNOU has started the registration process for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma programs for the academic year of 2025. For all courses, there is a 300 INR registration fee. There is a minimum of 3 years and maximum of 6 years for Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA). Srinagar Regional Centre was established in 1999. The main aim of this Centre is to provide higher education in the Kashmir Region. Indira Gandhi National Open University is linked to the Srinagar Regional Centre. It offers many different kinds of UG, PG, certificate, and diploma courses.
In Every year, eligible candidates register for any course admission in July. IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre, provides two methods for submitting a form online. Students can create an account and have to choose any course including UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate degrees. Various courses are available for people who are working from home. In starting of the centre were 4 study centers with 14 programs also 1,000 students enrolled at that time. Now, the Center has grown and admitted students is more than 3 lakhs.
Srinagar Regional Centre Facilities
Students enrolled in IGNOU Srinagar Center courses get multiple resources. Offline study help by means of online books and computer labs are given daily. While monthly support of Srinagar IGNOU contact classes are available. Students can visit Srinagar after IGNOU admission process.
Contact Classes are interactive sessions at Srinagar regional centre with subject teachers. These are needed from time to time to keep students engaged and informed about the latest subject trends. They also help clearing any doubts that arise during studies. IGNOU courses at Srinagar center that get contact sessions are BA, BBA, BCom, BSc, MA, MBA, MLIS, DECE, CLIS, etc. On the online website Srinagar center monthly schedule is released.
During the center visit Srinagar library services can be used. IGNOU Srinagar Regional Center has a campus library with subject books. Enrolled students get a large collection of offline subject books. At the semester final end Srinagar center oversees the management of Exam Centre. Online Distance Education at IGNOU makes use of offline exam centre for final assessment. Large number of students appear for final exams every semester after filling the exam form. Eligible students holding a hall ticket can enter the Srinagar center during their examination date and appear for IGNOU TEE.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
The candidate must have passed 10+2 with mathematics as one of the major subjects. There will be a requirement for them to pass MTE-03 as well as the first semester of their BCA program if they have not passed with Mathematics as one of their major subjects. This course has a minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum duration of 6 years, which does not have any age limit on when it could be completed.
Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
IGNOU RC Srinagar is offering a BCom degree program based on the merit score. Students who wish to join the course must hold a 12th standard certificate with a 50 percent score from the central or state board. This course is 3 years in duration.
Bachelor of Arts (BA)
For admission to the BA degree, applicants have to complete the 12th standard (Arts, Commerce, Science). Students should pass 10+2 from a recognized board and obtain at least 45% marks. The bachelor of arts degree takes a minimum of 3 years duration. Students can apply via the online portal of the IGNOU regional center.
Masters of Arts (Economics)(MEC)
Applicants require a bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited university. Students may enroll in this course for up to 5 years but no less than 2 years. Students considering applying for this course should be aware that it will allow them to pursue further economics studies, including topics like finance, insurance, computer economics, and more.
Masters of Arts(Rural Development) (MARD)
This course requires a Bachelor’s degree or a better higher degree from a recognized university. Students will have a minimum duration of 2 years to complete this course and can complete it for a maximum of 5 years. This program allows you to start your own business by creating your service unit or developing your working skills as a laborer.
IGNOU Srinagar Regional Centre Offline Admission Process
Step 1: Visit the Srinagar Regional Centre
Step 2: Ask for an IGNOU official at the “Student Service Cell”.
Step 3: Get the admission form from IGNOU official.
Step 4: Fill the admission form with a pen.
Step 5: Enter accurate details about the questions asked.
Step 6: Submit documents asked in the form. Keep photocopied documents ready.
Step 7: To process the form further pay the IGNOU application fee.

IGNOU Srinagar Regional Center Re-Registration
IGNOU has started the Re-Registration process for UG, PG, and diploma courses in the July 2025 session at the Srinagar regional center. To apply for re-registration, candidates must fill out the form through the official website @onlinerr.ignou.ac.in, or they can visit the regional/study center in session 2025.
The Re-registration form passes through the following stages:
- Open the URL (https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in/).
- Create a password by completing the registration form.
- After that, you will receive a ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’ through your Mail ID or SMS.
- Use your User Name and Password to Re-login on the IGNOU website.
- Complete the Re-registration Form online.
- After reading the declaration, you need to tick the ‘Declaration’ box.
- Confirm your details after previewing your data.
- Make the re-registration fee payment through Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.
- You will get the confirmation message of payment through SMS and email.
- Now you can see the preview by clicking on the ‘Next Button.
