IGNOU Online CIT Admission 2025: The Certificate in Information Technology (CIT) is a 6 month program at IGNOU. This course is aimed at introducing students to the concepts of hardware, software, and internet technologies. Students can apply online to IGNOU online CIT on the web admission portal. Last date to apply to IGNOU CIT admissions is 31 August 2025. The application process is online, with an application fee of INR 300.

• Assignment Submission: IGNOU online CIT assignment submission has not started yet. it will soon start by the IGNOU. All enrolled students must submit assignments on time. If any student fails to submit the assignment not be allowed to sit in the Term End Examination.

Indira Gandhi National Open University Online Certificate in Information Technology is available for July admission 2025. This course is an introduction to IT concepts focused on hardware, software, and internet technology. CIT course in IGNOU covers subjects like Fundamentals of Computer Systems and Introduction to Information Technology.

IGNOU Online CIT Eligibility Criteria

Certificate in Information Technology IGNOU eligibility criteria contains a 10th Standard OR SSC certificate. Students can also apply with a IGNOU’S BPP degree or a Microsoft’s DLC diploma certificate or equivalent qualification. There is no minimum or maximum age bar on candidates.

Foreign students from SAARC and other regions can apply to online CIT course at IGNOU. Foreign students can apply with a 10th equivalent degree.

IGNOU Online CIT Application Process

• Step 1: Go to the online IGNOU website @iop.ignouonline.ac.in
• Step 2: Click on the “Apply Now” icon on the home screen.
• Step 3: Select the nationality in the dialogue box that appears.
• Step 4: Register by filling the IGNOU registration form for online CIT admission process.
  
• Step 5: A login ID will be given to the registered email.
  
• Step 6: Go to the online CIT admission portal. The Portal for Indian Students and Foreign students portal are different.
• Step 7: Login with the username and password to the CIT admission portal.
• Step 8: Fill out the online CIT admission form.
• Step 9: Required documents must be uploaded.
• Step 10: Pay the IGNOU application fee.
• Step 11: Submit the form and download the acknowledgment page.

IGNOU Online CIT Fee Structure

IGNOU CIT course fee is Rs. 6,000/- for Indian Students. For foreign nationals CIT course fee at IGNOU is divided into two parts, SAARC students, Rs. 10,000 for the complete Programme (exclusive of the examination fee). While the NON-SAARC foreign students must pay $ 650.00/- for Full Programme.

This fee covers the academic fee, however students must also pay an application fee of Rs. 300/- for the IGNOU online CIT admission process. Selected students will also have to submit an IGNOU CIT exam form fee of Rs. 200/- per theory subjects. While the Rs. 300/- is needed for practical subjects.

IGNOU CIT Fee Refund Policy

Admissions can be cancelled on multiple occasions during the CIT admission process. IGNOU gives back the deposited fee in such cases. For this IGNOU fee refund policy comes into action. According to this administrative policy students get 100% fee refund if they cancel their admission before the final confirmation from IGNOU. This must be done before 60 days ends after the final date of admission.

After the finalization of the admission application by IGNOU, students can still cancel their CIT admission. In this case students get up to 15% fine on the course fee. If students apply after 60 days of the last date for CIT admission cancellation, no fee refund will be made to candidates.

How to Apply for IGNOU CIT Fee Refund

• Step 1: Open the email account registered during IGNOU CIT admission process 2025.
• Step 2: Write an e-mail stating the admission cancellation request.
• Step 3: Send the mail to canceladms@ignou.ac.in with candidates enrollment number and programme name.
• Step 4: Wait for a reply from IGNOU.
