IGNOU Admission 2024 January Session and Re-registration: IGNOU has extended the deadline for fresh admission and Re-registration for the January 2024-25 academic year. The extended last date for IGNOU Admission is 10 March 2024 for all the ODL and online courses. Earlier, the deadline for admission and re-registration was set on 29 February 2024.
The last date for “Fresh Admission” for all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for the January 2024 session has been extended till 10th March 2024.

Students can fill out the IGNOU admission form for ODL programmes by visiting @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, and there is another portal for admission to the Online IGNOU courses @ignouaiop.samarth.edu.in. Applicants need to pay the IGNOU registration fee of INR 300 at the time of admission.

The last date for IGNOU Re-registration has been extended to 10 March 2024 with a late fee of INR 200 for all the UG, PG, and some IGNOU Diploma courses. The candidates already pursuing any UG, PG, or Diploma programme from the university can re-register themselves at @onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.

Here are the steps a candidate should follow to avoid any discrepancies while filling out the IGNOU admission 2024 form:
Step 1: Students need to visit the official website of IGNOU – @ignou.ac.in. to complete the IGNOU admission process
Step 2: On the website’s homepage, students can find and click the “Register online” option followed by the “Fresh Admission” option.
Step 3: Now applicants need to Click on “Click here for new registration.”
Step 4: Read the instructions on the page carefully before filling out the IGNOU admission form.
Step 5: Students must fill in their personal information, such as:

- Contact Number,
- Email address, etc.
- Students should strictly stick to providing the same information as it is in their educational certificates.
Step 6: After registration, a candidate will receive their username and passwords at their email address and mobile number.
Step 7: Log in with your credentials and fill out the information asked like educational details, family details, etc.,
Step 8: Fill out the details of the program you are opting for.
Step 9: Upload all the requested documents to an appropriate size per the IGNOU guidelines.
Step 10: Keep the screenshot or download the document for future use.
Students should also keep a soft copy of the essential documents required while completing the application form to accelerate the process of filling out the application form.
Before proceeding to fill out the IGNOU Admission form online, the applicant must have the following:
- Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)
- Scanned copy of the candidate’s Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned copy of the Certificate of their relevant Educational Qualification (less than 200 KB)
- Scanned copy of the students’s Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
